BOOKING AND EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern Star Sanctum and KTEG websites and events. Star Sanctum is a trading name of KTEG Limited. Any reference to Star Sanctum is a reference to KTEG Limited.

Buying a ticket to the event only grants the rights and privileges stated in the description available on this website and nothing else. When buying a ticket you tacitly confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and to all information and rules available on our website. Please be aware that some venues may have their own terms and conditions, which may apply to you when using your tickets and attending an event, in addition to these our Terms.

By using this website and/or attending Star Sanctum events, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. Star Sanctum reserve the right to make changes to Terms as published on this website at any time and without notice. Please check periodically for any changes.

Violation of the Terms may result in Star Sanctum blocking your access to this website, barring you from future events, cancelling your order and/or taking appropriate legal action.

Star Sanctum reserves the right to refuse or revoke the admission of anyone to any Star Sanctum event or activity for any action or behaviour that breaches the Terms or is deemed by us to be unacceptable. In such cases tickets will have to be surrendered, no refunds will be given and Star Sanctum will take no responsibility for any other losses or costs incurred.

By purchasing a ticket you consent to security checks on entry to the venue and agree to leave any prohibited items with venue staff for safe-keeping.

By attending any event, meeting or activity, you agree to follow promptly any instructions given by staff. Refusal may result in ejection from the event, meeting or activity.

No smoking is permitted in any part of the event.

You may be refused admission or ejected from the venue if any action, behaviour or item you have with you:
(a) Poses a health and safety risk;
(b) Affects others’ enjoyment of the event;
(c) Disrupts the running of the event;
(d) May cause damage to or interfere with the property of KTEG Limited
(e) is in breach of these Terms
(f) Is prohibited by law
(g) May lead to a breach of any licensing conditions applicable at The Mermaid; or
(h) Is in breach of any venue regulations (on notices at The Mermaid), such as:
(i) entering any prohibited areas
(ii) standing in seats or in walkways
(iii) climbing on the building structure
(iv) throwing anything onto the stage/into the crowd/at other visitors etc.
(v) smoking.

In case of emergency, please follow instructions and directions from staff and/or other officials.

PARENTAL ADVICE

Star Sanctum events are intended for adults and may feature adult content and language. Children under 1O, including babes in arms and toddlers, cannot attend. Children (aged between 1O and 18 years only) may only attend on the conditions that:

a) We have received prior written consent from a parent or guardian that they are aware of the potential for adult content and language and give permission for the child to attend

b) each child is accompanied and supervised at the event by a responsible adult (over 18). It is your responsibility to check the suitability of an event for any children in your party regardless of official age restrictions, this includes considering the type of audience an event is likely to attract and whether being part of such an audience is a suitable environment for the children in your party. Refunds will not be issued if any aspect of an event, including the behaviour of other audience members, causes offence to you or any children on whose behalf you have purchased tickets.

DISABLED ACCESS

The Mermaid is fully accessible to wheelchair users and those with mobility issues. We recommend that anyone requiring special assistance check with us before booking to ensure that we are able to care of organisational details. There are a limited number of wheelchair places available in the Main Mall which can be booked by email. Assistance dogs are not permitted at our events (no other animals allowed)

Customers attending with assistance dogs are requested to contact Customer Service in advance for further information.

ADMITTANCE

To attend an event organized by Star Sanctum you must bring a printed copy of your confirmation email for that event and an ID document. Failure to provide this will result in denial of entry to the event. We will be required to security check all attendees’ bags and/or I.D. cards before entry to the event. Searches are a condition of entry to protect your safety and that of other attendees. We may conduct security searches of clothing, bags and other items, as determined by us in our reasonable discretion, including on entry and exit.

We reserve the right to prohibit within the event:

(a) items which are or may be illegal. Anyone found in possession of illegal or contraband goods may also be liable for prosecution.

(b) weapons, ammunition, explosives, horns, whistles, drums, fireworks, or any other item which, in our reasonable opinion, may cause danger or disruption to any event or to other attendees (regardless of whether or not such items are illegal or are carried for specific purposes);

(c) items that artistes appearing or performing at an event (or their management) have asked us to prohibit or are otherwise prohibited pursuant to the Venue Terms.

BOOKING & TICKETS

Tickets are non-exchangeable, non-transferrable and generally non-refundable; any tickets found to be sold via third parties will be cancelled. Star Sanctum will not be required to honour tickets if we know or have reasonable grounds for believing that they have i) purchased from unauthorised agents or other unauthorised sources including, without limitation, ticket touts. ii) been duplicated.

Refunds for tickets will be only be considered under exceptional circumstances.

Star Sanctum are not responsible for orders that fail to complete during processing due to customer errors, credit card failures, or system errors during transmission of the order.

When ordering please ensure you receive a confirmation email with barcode for entry to event.

All ticket prices are subject to change.

RESPONSIBILITIES

For events with seated and standing arrangements, each ticket provides you with a licence to occupy a seat or to stand in an area (as applicable) of a value corresponding to that stated on your ticket. We reserve the right to provide alternative seats to those specified on the ticket where it is not possible to allow you to occupy the specific seat printed on your ticket. In these circumstances, we will use reasonable endeavours to provide you with a seat of equal value to that which you purchased and where we are unable to do so we will reimburse to you the difference in value of the seat we are able to provide and the value of the seat printed on your Ticket and we shall have no further liability to you as a result of the change in seats.

In the event of an event cancellation or date change, Star Sanctum is not responsible for the refunding travelling expenses, accommodation costs or any other third party costs. Star Sanctum accepts no responsibility for arrangements made by attendees with third parties and does not endorse them.

You are responsible for safeguarding your property when at our events and Star Sanctum will have no liability for property that is lost, stolen or damaged.

Star Sanctum accepts no responsibility for opinions and personal declarations expressed by guests and participants attending the events.

All guest appearances at our events are subject to each change due to work and personal commitments or unforeseen events. If a guest is unable to attend or has to leave early, Star Sanctum will provide a full refund for all events specific to that guest, such as autographs or photo sessions.

All event activities can be subject to changes and cancellations. Some guests may request a limit on the number of autographs signed and photos taken. Photo and autograph sessions could be subject to time limits or other unexpected restrictions, therefore the Star Sanctum cannot guarantee photo ops and autographs for all attendees. After all available sessions are purchased there is no guarantee that more will be provided.

Star Sanctum assumes no responsibility for typographical errors or inaccurate information provided by convention venues.

STAR GUEST SESSIONS

Only attendees who have a brought a Entry Pass to an event can buy extras such as photo and autograph sessions. The only exception to this is taking part in the auction of the front row seats which can be done without the purchase of any other item.

Guests attending an event may appear for 3 days, 2 days, 1 day or part of 1 day during the event.

Guests may refuse to sign items they do not find suitable including items of unlicensed merchandise. If you are unsure if an item is suitable, please check with staff before asking for an autograph.

Activities such as photo sessions and autographs do not equate to a meeting with a guest. Any type of personalisation is subject to the guest’s own discretion on both photo an autograph sessions. Do not take up more time than is strictly required for your photo and signing, anyone who does not respected this rule may be asked to leave.

Our campfire sessions are for a limited number of fans and anything discussed in these sessions must remain private. Anyone who transcribes or posts about anything that was discussed, talked about or mentioned during the meetings will be banned from all future events.

When attending an event please do not line up for an activity before you are called, you should also only line up only in approved areas. Please do not block passages creating security troubles for attendees; any request coming from the staff about moving, lining up, clearing the way should be followed at once.

PHOTOGRAPHY & RECORDING

Attendees must not audio record, video record or live stream any part of this event, anyone who does so will be will be asked to leave and banned from all future events.

Still photography will be allowed in certain areas and for personal use only, public dissemination and commercial use is strictly prohibited. This includes photo session pictures, which are also for personal use only. In the Main Hall, you are allowed to take pictures only from your seat and without the use of flash. All attendees are not allowed to take pictures during autograph or photo sessions or at any special activity unless agreed in advance.

Mobile phones must be either on flight mode or on silent when in the Main Hall, Photo or Autograph Sessions and any special activity.

IMAGE RIGHTS

CCTV and film cameras may be present at and around our events, this includes filming by the police or security staff carried out for the security of visitors, and filming and/or photography by Star Sanctum. By purchasing a ticket to an event you give your express consent to all such filming and to your actual or simulated likeness being included within any film, photograph, audio and/or audio-visual recording (“Footage”), all rights to which will be owned by us, or the relevant third party. You also agree that any such Footage may be used by us in any and all media for any purpose at any time throughout the world, including (with the exception of CCTV or security Footage) for commercial purposes, such as merchandising or DVDs, without payment or compensation to you.

COPYRIGHT

Star Sanctum’s materials may not be reproduced, copied, edited, published, transmitted or uploaded in any way without our written permission.

LIABILITY

If we breach our obligations to you under these Terms or we are negligent and, as a result, you suffer any loss or damage in connection with your presence at a Star Sanctum event, you may be entitled to claim that loss from us, but:

(a) we will only be liable for your loss or damage up to an amount equal to the face value of the ticket purchased by you for the event you are attending (if any); and

(b) we will not be liable to you for loss or expenses incurred in connection with your visit to The Event, or its cancellation, such as the cost of any personal travel, accommodation or hospitality arrangements made in connection with any event.

(c) not be liable to you under these Terms to the extent that the failure is caused by a Force Majeure event, anything beyond Star Sanctum’s control, including, without limitation, any act of God, war, insurrection, riot, civil disturbances, acts of terrorism, fire, explosion, flood, national mourning, theft of essential equipment, malicious damage, strike, lock out, weather, national defence requirements or acts or regulations of national or local governments. However, nothing in these terms shall be construed as excluding or restricting our liability for death and/or personal injury caused by our negligence nor for any other form of liability that may not by law be limited.

ASSISTANCE

Should you experience any problems while at the event please contact our staff so that every reasonable effort can be made to resolve the issue prior to, or during the event you are attending as complaints are very difficult to resolve after the Event.

THIS AGREEMENT

This agreement is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with English Law.

The courts of England have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and decide any suit action or proceedings and to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with this Agreement and for these purposes each party irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction the courts of England (save in the cases of members based in Scotland in whose case the Scottish courts shall also have jurisdiction).
